{"id":6,"name":"Aryan Sarparast","url":"","description":"Aryan Sarparast is a first year medical student at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine Class of 2017. He graduated with Latin honors from the University of Oregon with a B.Sci. in psychology. Aryan is a former research assistant in the University of Oregon Neuroscience Institute, studying pupil dilation response to auditory stimuli in humans and owls. His current research is in the University of Florida Health Center Department of Radiation Oncology. He is working under the wing of Dr. Naren R. Ramakrishna, M.D., Ph.D., studying the efficacy of stereotactic radiosurgery on malignant brain metastases from variable primary sites. He aims to publish as first author in the Summer of 2014.\r\n\r\nAryan is currently the co-editor-in-chief of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine's first literary journal: The Script. His prior editing experience includes his involvement on the staff of the University of Oregon's culture magazine, The Oregon Voice, and the local satire and comedy newspaper, The Comic Press.\r\n\r\nIn his leisure time, Aryan enjoys reading literature and writing fiction. He also enjoys the great outdoors and writing music.
