He graduated with Summa Cum Laude Latin Honors from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Sciences. Sami is a former research assistant in the University of Florida College of Medicine Department of Cardiology, studying the effect of viral Serpin proteins on atherosclerosis. His current research is in the Orlando Nemours Children\u2019s Hospital. He is working under the wing of Dr. Hubert S. Swana, M.D., studying the surgical complications of the Malone Antegrade Continence Enema (MACE) procedure in pediatric patients.
