Abstract

Clínica Martín-Baró, a student-run clinic, is a partnership with the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine that strives for equitable access to social services, health care, and social equity in order to serve the uninsured and undocumented Latinx population in the San Francisco Bay Area. Here, we highlight its holistic approach to health comprising community partnerships to challenge health care barriers within the undocumented community and empower patients to overcome their trauma as an immigrant during today’s political climate. It is our hope to not only increase visibility in the arena of scholarly work around immigrant health but also serve as a model for other student-run clinics in our approach of community healing.
