Nos morituri te salutamus
We who are about to die salute you
Abstract
This is the story of a first pre-medical school encounter with death and dying in a palliative care setting. From a first person view, the author explores some of the challenges of working in a hospice in Germany. It helped shape the understanding of death and dying and the acceptance of the palliative care process in modern medicine for the author.
